The Sunday Run Sheet.

One email a week worth opening.

Howdy,

This week was a grind. A routine I built to save time did the opposite, so I changed it. And I kept showing up, a post a day, good day, bad day, boring day.

This is the first Run Sheet. Every Sunday from here: six things worth your time, one from each part of life I'm working on, and what I actually think of them.

Six things worth your time.

01

FITNESS · PRODUCT

A wheel you lie on and roll your back over, with a channel down the middle for your spine.

My take: I use it for my back and it makes such a difference. Better than a standard foam roller.

02

HEALTH · BOOK

Partaker's case is that most of your health comes down to sleep, food and training, and that a good morning starts the night before. The line I kept: "a great day begins the night before with an evening routine and a great night's sleep."

My take: True for me. Clothes, gym gear and supplements are ready the night before, so when the 3:15am alarm goes I hit the ground running.

03

MIND · BOOK

A short, practical book on why a bad mood isn't the enemy, and what to do with it instead of letting it run the day. The line I kept: "Failing to exercise when you feel bad is like explicitly not taking an aspirin when your head hurts."

My take: When I'm flat and don't feel like going, I still go, and those often turn out to be my best sessions.

04

BUSINESS · NEWSLETTER

FailCon was a conference built to celebrate failure. Five years later, it failed. Manson's point is that not every failure is a lesson. Some teach you almost nothing, some teach you nearly everything, and treating them the same is the mistake.

My take: I learnt something from most of my failures. The couple that only cost me were the ones where I ignored a lesson I'd already learnt.

05

AI · ARTICLE

Stop explaining who you are every time you open an AI. Let it interview you once and keep the answers in one file it reads every time. The useful twist is that the file is mostly about what you never want to see.

My take: I did this, and now I run it at a much bigger scale. Context is everything. Give an AI the right file and you get a completely different result.

06

REAL LIFE · APP

A free notes app. Think digital notebook: you write everything down, it all links up, and it lives on your own computer.

My take: It's my second brain. Thoughts, brainstorms, research, notes from podcasts and websites all go in one place so I can find them again. With ADHD, that's a big deal.

Some weeks drag. This one did. Same list, same problems, and it felt like nothing moved. Then I looked back at where I was a month ago, and everything's different. The brands have had most of me for months. Now it's time to give the rest of my life the same energy. Close isn't done. But it's closer than I was.

What are you reading, listening to or using that I should know about? Hit reply.

It’s your life. Run it.
